Maintenance Technician
Location: Spring, TX

Employment Type: [Full-Time/Night shift 12/14 schedule, 12hr shifts 5pm-5am]
Pay: $18-$24/hr
Duration: 6-month contract to permanent
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Lead to oversee and execute facility and equipment maintenance in an industrial manufacturing environment. This role is hands-on and leadership-focused, responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, safety compliance, and continuous improvement of maintenance processes. The Maintenance Lead will guide maintenance technicians, manage preventive maintenance programs, and support equipment upgrades and facility improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance Operations
Oversee and perform a wide range of maintenance activities including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and painting
Respond to and complete maintenance service requests in a timely and efficient manner
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
Ensure all equipment and facilities are maintained to operational and safety standards
Leadership & Training
Lead, mentor, and train maintenance technicians
Assign work, prioritize tasks, and support team development
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and maintenance best practices
Planning & Preventive Maintenance
Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs
Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Ensure preventive maintenance is completed according to established schedules and requirements
Equipment & Facility Improvements
Participate in the installation, modification, and improvement of new and existing equipment
Manage facility renovations and improvement projects as needed
Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to support maintenance initiatives
Documentation & Systems
Document maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections
Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track work orders and maintenance history
Safety & Compliance
Follow all safety policies and procedures, including PPE and OSHA regulations
Ensure compliance with company safety standards and property management policies
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in maintenance role within an industrial or manufacturing environment
Strong working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Experience developing preventive maintenance programs and SOPs
Familiarity with CMMS platforms
Demonstrated leadership and team training experience
Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
OSHA safety training or certification
Experience supporting equipment installation or facility upgrades
Background in industrial manufacturing or heavy equipment environments
