Job Description

Schedule: Monday - Friday 6AM - 4PM / Occasional Saturday 6AM - 2PM

What we do:

SMS group is an industrial equipment manufacturer for the steel industry. We design, build, and service equipment and plants across the globe with a strong technical services/machine shop network in North America.

The right candidate will:

Set up and operate both CNC and manual machinery for use in metal working applications.

Operate and know the functions of Fanuc/Mazatrol controllers, load and run CNC programs.

Read and interpret G and M code programs.

Blueprint reading and interpretation

Calculate tolerances from drawings and convert to/from metric/standard.

Use and read precise measuring tools.

Perform daily maintenance check of machine.

Perform other duties as assigned.

What you'll need:

High school diploma or GED

2-3 Years of CNC experience

Ability to read blueprints

Ability to use precision measurement tools

Ability to read and interpret G & M-Code.

Physical Abilities:

Stoop, kneel and bend at the waist and reach on a daily basis.

Lift and move up to 40 pounds

Remain in a standing or walking position for extended periods on a daily basis.
