7+ years of senior leadership experience in recycling, industrial operations, manufacturing, or related environments (e.g., automotive, electronics, aerospace, or military)
An ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in downstream recycling ecosystems, including audit practices, commodity recovery, and backend processing systems
Proven success owning P&L and delivering strong financial performance
Deep understanding of material recovery processes, commodities markets, and operational workflows
Demonstrated ability to scale operations and improve efficiency in complex environments
Strong track record building and leading high-performing teams
Are a builder who thrives on creating structure, scaling operations, and driving measurable results
Lead from the front, but comfortable on the floor and in the data

DUTIES:
The Executive Vice President of Recycling is the visionary and operational leader responsible for building, scaling, and optimizing recycling division into a high-performing, revenue-generating engine
This leader brings a relentless focus on operational excellence, material recovery optimization, and continuous improvement, along with the ability to scale systems, teams, and performance in a rapidly growing environment
This expertise enables them to drive immediate impact, strengthen downstream accountability, and maximize value recovery from day one
Build and execute a bold vision recycling division aligned with aggressive growth goals
Own P&L performance, driving revenue expansion, cost optimization, and margin improvement
Identify and unlock new revenue streams across commodity recovery, resale channels, and process innovation
Build the operational infrastructure required to scale a high-volume, high-throughput recycling operation
Operational Excellence
Design and implement best-in-class processes for sorting, disassembly, and material recovery
Drive Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives to increase speed, efficiency, and output
Establish and exceed KPIs across recovery rates, throughput, and operational performance
Evaluate and deploy technologies (automation, AI-driven sorting, material tracking) to improve yield and accuracy
Maximize recovery value across all commodity streams through disciplined process design and execution
Build and optimize downstream partner relationships (smelters, refiners, processors) to improve pricing, yield, and accountability
Establish and enforce downstream audit practices, ensuring transparency, compliance, and verification of recovery outcomes
Develop standardized methodologies for measuring recovery and reconciling internal data with downstream processor assays
Identify and eliminate value leakage across the recycling lifecycle
Operational Infrastructure
Design and implement backend systems that support accurate tracking of material intake, processing, yield, and financial recovery
Evaluate current system limitations and implement solutions that support a high-volume ( "mega-shredding ) operation
Build data visibility that enables real-time decision-making and operational accountability
Leadership and Alignment
Build and lead a high-performing, accountable recycling operations team
Instill a culture of ownership, urgency, and continuous improvement
Partner closely with EVP of ITAD, EVP of Service, and executive leadership to align operations across the business
Integrity and Compliance
Ensure full compliance with environmental, health, and data security standards (R2v3, NAID AAA, ISO, etc.)
Maintain rigorous chain-of-custody and downstream accountability standards
Build a closed-loop, ethical recycling ecosystem grounded in transparency and trust
Position as a leader in responsible, high-integrity IT asset disposition
