Pharmacy Tech- Contract

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and patient-focused Pharmacy Technician to support daily pharmacy operations and deliver exceptional service. In this role, you will maintain accurate patient records, assist with prescription processing, respond to coverage and pricing inquiries, and collaborate closely with pharmacy and clinical teams to ensure timely, compliant care. This is a 6 week contract position and training will be in Portland.

Key Responsibilities:

Create and maintain accurate patient profiles including demographics, insurance, and medication details

Support prescription processing, data entry, filling, shipping, inventory, and call center operations

Answer routine patient and staff inquiries regarding drug coverage, pricing, formularies, and services

Utilize the electronic medical record to communicate with care teams regarding refills and non-clinical medication questions

Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, state, federal, and Board of Pharmacy regulations

Balance efficiency and quality in a fast-paced, high-volume pharmacy environment

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required

Active state pharmacy license or ability to obtain within 14 days (required)

National Pharmacy Certification preferred

Previous pharmacy or medical office experience preferred

Strong computer, communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
