Verdantas is seeking a talented Water & Wastewater Staff Engineer III to join our team in either our Dublin, OH or Newark, OH office. We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented engineer to support innovative water and wastewater projects in Ohio. In this role, you'll collaborate with experienced Project Managers to deliver high-quality engineering solutions that improve essential infrastructure for communities. From preparing reports and hydraulic models to developing design plans and participating in field investigations, you'll play a key part in shaping sustainable water systems while advancing your technical expertise.

What You'll Do:

Assist Project Managers with engineering design for water and wastewater facilities requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to carry out engineering tasks

Perform technical engineering work associated with water and wastewater engineering including:

Prepare engineering reports and feasibility studies

Prepare engineering-related calculations and visual aids

Develop hydraulic models and perform engineering analysis

Participate in field investigations

Prepare design drawings, plans, sections, details, and profiles/sections

Complete various permitting applications

Attend meetings with municipal officials, engineers, and contractors

Provide construction administration of water and wastewater projects

Some mentoring and delegation of work tasks to junior staff

What You'll Bring:

Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited institution in Civil or Environmental Engineering with an emphasis in water/wastewater or other related field

Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) preferred

5+ years of experience in water & wastewater or related civil engineering projects including design, analyses, and studies

Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat

Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is required

Familiarity with computer models for hydraulic system analysis

Must possess a valid driver's license

Salary Range:

$85,000 - $105,000.00
