Role Overview
The Citrix Infrastructure Engineer holds technical ownership of key components of a global end-user computing and application delivery platform. Acting as a senior escalation point for complex and business-critical issues, this role leads global IT initiatives including platform modernization, cloud adoption, and automation. It requires deep cross-team collaboration with Architecture, Security, Network, and Endpoint teams, as well as strategic vendor engagement across a large-scale Citrix estate spanning Citrix Cloud-managed services, hybrid cloud integrations, and associated application delivery technologies.

Key Responsibilities
Platform Engineering
Technical ownership of Citrix infrastructure across global data center and cloud environments.
Design, deploy, and manage lifecycle of Citrix Cloud services and hybrid resource locations.
Define and maintain global build standards, architecture patterns, and operational runbooks.
Security & Compliance
Evaluate emerging threats and implement remediation via patching, hardening, and architectural changes.
Operate within mature change control, audit, and risk management frameworks.
Integrate identity and security services including Active Directory, Entra ID, and MFA.
Automation & IaC
Integrate automation and Infrastructure as Code practices into platform provisioning and lifecycle.
Design and maintain Terraform modules for repeatable, version-controlled Citrix deployments.
Develop PowerShell scripts and leverage orchestration frameworks.
Collaboration & Escalation
Act as senior escalation point for complex incidents; participate in after-hours and major incident response.
Collaborate across Architecture, Cloud, Network, Security, and Endpoint teams globally.
Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices.
Documentation
Develop and maintain high-quality technical documentation reflecting as-built and as-operated environments.
Manage platform hardware, software, and cloud service lifecycles against EOL/EOS timelines.
Vendor Management
Engage with third-party vendors and partners to evaluate and deliver tactical and strategic platform enhancements.
Proactively monitor and triage alerts; ensure events are investigated and resolved to SLA.
