The Associate Attorney will work on complex, high-exposure property damage and loss-related cases. This role offers the opportunity to work on technically challenging matters involving large-scale losses, investigations, and litigation strategy from inception through resolution. Associate Attorney Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload involving significant property damage claims, including fire losses, structural issues, water damage, and product-related incidents
Investigate and litigate cases involving defective products, including emerging risks such as lithium battery-related losses
Collaborate with experts such as engineers, investigators, and consultants to analyze causation and liability
Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents throughout the lifecycle of a case
Conduct depositions, participate in hearings, and represent clients in court proceedings
Evaluate contracts, insurance policies, and technical documentation to support case strategy
Handle matters through all phases of litigation, including trial preparation and trial
Associate Attorney Requirements:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Ohio
3–6 years of civil litigation experience
Demonstrated experience handling cases through discovery, depositions, and trial
Experience managing cases from intake through trial
Comfort working with technical subject matter and expert witnesses
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
Proactive, self-driven approach to case management
Strong courtroom presence and confidence in managing hearings and proceedings
Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
