Contracted Behavior Consultant

Behavior Consultant (Contracted Position) Location: Marshall, Fulton, Cass County Areas Position Type: Flexible Hours Compensation: $66.52 per Hour We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Behavior Consultant (BC) to work in the Marshall, Fulton, Cass County areas.

This is a contracted position offering flexible hours, with a competitive rate of $66.52 per hour.

Duties and Responsibilities: * Maintain compliance with all relevant regulatory bodies, ensuring that documentation is completed in a timely, professional manner.

* Provide positive behavior supports and individualized, evidence-based interventions.

* Collaborate with individuals, families, and staff to develop and implement person-centered functional behavior assessments and behavior support plans.

* Attend mandatory quarterly meetings at Cardinal Services.

* Participate in all appointments related to the supported individual's behavioral and mental health.

* Ensure effective communication with individuals, providers, family members, staff, and other members of the treatment team.

* Maintain personal availability for individuals on the caseload.

* Provide crisis intervention, offering positive coaching and support, while also being able to deescalate or redirect situations as needed.

* Adapt communication to effectively engage with individuals in their preferred mode of communication.

* Support individuals with challenging behaviors, mental health needs, or medical concerns.

* Establish clear boundaries with clients and maintain assertiveness when needed.

Qualifications: * Master's degree in Psychology, Special Education, Social Work, or a related human service field is required.

* At least two years of experience in providing direct behavioral services, including knowledge of clinical assessments, dual diagnoses, the neuro/biological etiology of behavior symptoms, and psychopharmacology is preferred.

* Ability to coordinate services under the guidance of clinical supervision and training from a Health Service Provider in Psychology (HSPP). * Proficient in using a laptop/tablet with internet access for work documentation and must be computer literate.

* Ability to pass criminal/registry background checks and any other necessary screenings.

* A valid driver's license, insured vehicle, and safe driving history are required.

* Must be able to pass and maintain required training certifications, such as CPR/First Aid.

Working Conditions: As a contracted employee, the Behavior Consultant will primarily work from home or in a designated workspace at Cardinal Services.

You will also be required to travel to the homes of participants and engage in community-based activities.

Flexibility is key, as you may need to adjust to changing needs, activities, and locations.

The position may involve extended hours, evenings, and occasional out-of-town travel.
