About the Role: Lead Sanitation Tech

As a Lead Sanitation Technician, you'll play a vital role maintaining a clean, professional, and safe working environment at all times. You'll be responsible for the same duties and responsibilities as a Sanitation Tech, while leading and managing by example. In addition, you will be required to have the integrity and courage to lead and mentor members of the Sanitation team ranging from how to follow the proper processes and guidelines, to working in a diverse team environment. You will counsel and mentor techs unbiasedly and will refer to conduct and performance to improve and correct deficiencies found. You will be versed in all areas and are capable of multi-tasking and managing the Sanitation team across the property. You will work under time constraints, stress, and in frustrating environments. You will be honest, stern and direct but also compassionate and approachable to the tech’s professional and personal concerns. Team members in this position clean multiple areas in accordance with the Master Cleaning Schedule and ensure cleaning and sanitizing areas are completed in a timely manner that is established by the Sanitation Manager. If any areas are not cleaned at the scheduled time, it is the responsibility of the Lead Sanitation Tech to report this information to the Sanitation Manager. This position is largely self-directed and requires understanding of company policies, procedures, and values.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain a clean, professional, and safe working environment at all times.

Counsel and mentor Sanitation team.

Report to work areas on time.

Clean and sanitize areas described on the Master Cleaning Schedule.

Notify Sanitation Lead to write initials on the Master Cleaning Schedule when a task has been completed.

Work with other departments on any extra areas that need to be cleaned as needed.

Sanitize and blow clothes off in necessary areas according to MAPF procedures.

Never enter Green or Finished Areas when using the restrooms or breakrooms.

Will ensure to sanitize and wash hands come from Red to Green areas every time.

Will properly clean production machines using the appropriate chemicals.

Work in a safe and timely manner.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills as well as the ability to adapt to change.

Excellent cultural competence.

Takes initiative and has excellent judgment skills.

Obtains integrity to do the right thing in a team environment.

Works well under time constraints, stress, and in frustrating environments.

Flexible with work volume and special project.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:

Lifting weights up to sixty (60) pounds on a regular basis.

Climbing several flights of stairs and ladders.

Occasionally bending, twisting and turning while lifting weight of less than fifty (50) pounds.

Walking up to two (2) or more miles a day.

Pushing brooms, shovels, etc.

Working at heights, in confined spaces and at temperatures from 0 to 100 plus degrees Fahrenheit.

Standing for extended periods of time.

Wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Using hand and power tools.

Works with sanitizing and cleaning chemicals.

May work in dusty environments.

Works ten {10) to twelve (12) hours shifts at a time.
