Job Summary:

Bertrand Chaffee Hospital in Springville, New York is seeking a full time Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. Certification is required within one (1) year of employment when eligibility requirements are met. As a sterile processing technician, you will be responsible for maintaining sterile and non-sterile supplies for all departments within our hospital facilities, including the operating room. You will decontaminate, clean, inspect, prepare, disinfect, and sterilize linens, utensils, trays, endoscopes, and/or instruments, among other tasks.

Responsibilities:

Maintains sterile and non-sterile supplies for all departments within Bertrand Chaffee Hospital facilities, including the operating room

Decontaminates, cleans, inspects, prepares, disinfects, and sterilizes linens, utensils, trays, endoscopes, and/or instruments

Operates sterilizers, washer, decontaminator, aerators, heat sealers, carts, ultrasonic cleaner, warming cabinet, and biological incubator

Maintains sterile linen packs; gathers used utensils and instruments; clerical and recording keeping work as needed Requirements:

Minimum of six (6) months' experience in a clinical setting as a para-professional or technician

High School diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience

Must obtain Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) certification within one year when eligibility requirements are met. What We Offer:
