What You'll Do as a Public Safety Intelligence Analyst

• Independently review & analyze problems related to sophisticated criminal &/or complex organized crime-related activity from agency personnel & other intelligence units;

• Collect, research & generate bulletins, products, assessments, after action reports, etc;

• Present & articulate complex analysis & products (i.e., reports, charts, maps, etc.,) to Division Management & Administration to assist with decision-making;

• Research, analyze & evaluate ONIC proposals, projects & activities in order to improve &/or streamline processes, forecast the need for additional resources such as staffing, equipment, supplies, etc., &/or make changes to administrative &/or operational programs & procedures;

• Maintain association with & facilitates exchange of information between federal, state & local law enforcement agencies & task forces for disposition of criminal activity &/or intelligence information on criminal activity;

OPTION 1:

36 mos. exp. conducting research & writing reports using operational, mathematical, analytical &/or statistical research techniques.

OPTION 2:

-Or completion of undergraduate core program in homeland security, political science, criminal justice, emergency management, public health, international affairs or related field;

AND 12 mos. exp. conducting research & writing reports using operational, mathematical, analytical &/or statistical research techniques.

-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
