Description SAIC is seeking an experienced Acquisition Systems Engineer with technical and practical understanding of space systems and phenomenology to support a Major System Acquisition development in support of resilience spanning a diverse set of global threats for a customer within the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) in Chantilly, VA.

SAIC is seeking Systems Engineers with Acquisition practice at various experience levels to provide Systems Engineering and Technical Advisory (SETA) services to a rapidly expanding Government Intelligence Community (IC) customer for a complex space and ground efforts as part of an exciting and innovative set of programs.
The Acquisition Systems Engineer should have a background in Program Management with experience in integrating the various functions, systems engineering, contract management, financial management, and business functions.
The Acquisition Systems Engineer provides support to the Systems Program Office (SPO) in acquisition and execution of mission critical systems.
The Acquisition Systems Engineer is part of a team of high-performing subject matter experts (SMEs) responsible for planning, development and execution of new acquisitions, guiding programs through Milestone Decision Authority (MDA) directed reviews, developing and executing ECPs, monitoring contract execution and providing technical analysis.
The Acquisition Systems Engineer responsibilities may include but not limited to the following: * Developing various acquisition products in support of Pre-Acquisition, Acquisition and governance for a Major Systems Acquisition (MSA) * Providing inputs to Intelligence Program Budget Submission (IPBS) and Congressional Budget Justification Book (CBJB) * Conducting Bi-Weekly Status Meetings, Quarterly Program Review (QPR) and Acquisition Status Reviews * Providing financial analytical support * Evaluating cost metrics and Earned Value Management System (EVMS) data * Developing government cost estimates * Reviewing Contract Data Requirements List (CDRLs) for compliance, execution, and program status * Guiding program acquisitions through agency governance process * Maintaining awareness of Systems Engineering Processes and Artifacts * Assisting leadership in coordination and collaboration activities across multiple mission partners and with oversight * Coordinating acquisitions and acquisition documents across the Program Office * Representing the Program Office in customer acquisition discussions related to current and future contracts Qualifications Required: * Active TS/SCI with Poly * Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or related disciplines with 14 or more years of related experience in program management * Experience integrating between Federal, Department Of Defense (DoD), and Intelligence Community (IC) Acquisition processes * Experience developing senior level programmatic briefings * Experience in research and development acquisitions to include technology development planning * Experience in acquisition planning and execution * Exceptional communication and coordination skills * Ability to quickly understand and respond to Government queries * Experience in formulating budget plans and Earned Value Management Desired: * Experience as a Major Systems Acquisition Program Manager, Deputy Program Manager or Material Leader * DAQIA PM level 2 (or equivalent certification) * IC COTR level 2 (or equivalent certification) Overview SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.
