Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your procurement and leadership expertise in a dynamic and innovative field. You’ll work alongside a collaborative and solution-driven team, committed to delivering excellence.
You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of our procurement activities by coordinating with buyers, driving supplier performance, and supporting project execution. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams across the business (including engineering, quality, supply chain, and finance), lead negotiations, and manage the local procurement team, ensuring alignment with Alstom’s procurement strategies and goals.
You’ll specifically take care of supplier performance management and savings plan implementation, but also develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to secure future business opportunities.
We’ll look to you for:
Coordinating with buyers and the procurement team on purchasing activities, including organizational changes, supplier challenges, and Make or Buy decisions
Acting as a facilitator between the Procurement Function and Product Line operational members
Managing suppliers’ Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) performance to support project execution and tender commitments
Leading operational procurement responsibilities, including negotiations and cross-site/business bundling
Driving the Savings Plan during tender and project phases to achieve yearly profitability goals
Developing and managing the local Procurement team, including workload monitoring and process arbitration
Supporting commercial and contractual negotiations during project execution
Ensuring compliance with Alstom Procurement rules, processes, and tools
Providing site input to central Procurement to guide commodity strategies
Applying local risk management governance and developing mitigation plans
Ensuring supplier panel compliance with defined target panels and monitoring supplier performance
Driving continuous improvement within the local Procurement team

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Purchasing, Engineering (mechanical or industrial), or a related field
10 years of work experience in procurement or a related field (management experience is an asset)
Experience in purchasing, negotiations, and assessing costs for labor and components
Knowledge of supplier performance metrics, including Quality, Cost Competitiveness, and On-Time Delivery
Familiarity with project management in a complex matrix environment, working across multiple functions
Proficiency in system tools such as SAP, PTP functionality, DFQ (Design for Quality), SOL (Sourcing Online), and QCDT management
Strong understanding of procurement tools, policies, and commodity strategies
Ability to travel internationally up to 40% of the time
Knowledge of a language other than French is an asset when working with international stakeholders
