We are seeking a proactive and organized Clerk I to join our Community Development team. This entry-level position plays a vital role in supporting daily administrative operations, ensuring smooth communication, and assisting with community engagement initiatives. Under regular supervision, performs clerical work associated with greeting visitors, answering incoming telephone calls, providing information, typing documents and correspondence, and processing documentation. May be responsible for general records management. Reports to the Director.

This individual will be required to work on weekends for special events; works required after-hour events.

Minimum Qualifications:Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; supplemented by twelve (12) months or more previous office/administrative work experience and/or training involving public contact duties as well as office support duties; or any equivalent combination education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess a valid Louisiana State Driver’s License.

NOTE: Proof of education will be required.
