About the Role

Fincons Group is seeking a Python Developer to support a large-scale data conversion initiative. This role will focus on extracting, transforming, validating, and loading data from legacy systems into new target platforms. The ideal candidate has strong Python development skills, hands-on experience with data migration projects, and the ability to work closely with business and technical teams to ensure data accuracy and successful cutover execution.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Python scripts for data extraction, cleansing, transformation, and loading

Analyze source system data structures and map data to target system requirements

Build automated validation and reconciliation processes to ensure data integrity

Troubleshoot data quality issues, exceptions, and conversion errors

Optimize batch processing jobs for performance and scalability

Work with business analysts, QA teams, and stakeholders to validate converted data

Support mock conversions, testing cycles, and final production cutover activities

Create technical documentation for conversion logic, mapping rules, and support procedures

Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide regular project status updates

Required Qualifications

3+ years of professional Python development experience

Strong experience with data conversion, migration, ETL, or integration projects

Advanced SQL skills and experience working with relational databases

Experience handling large data sets and batch processing

Strong understanding of data mapping, transformation logic, and reconciliation

Experience with CSV, JSON, XML, APIs, and flat-file integrations

Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

Experience with Pandas, NumPy, PySpark, or ETL frameworks

Familiarity with ERP, finance, media, or enterprise platforms

Experience supporting enterprise system implementations such as SAP, Oracle, or Salesforce

Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and version control tools like Git
