Job Description

Position: Fleet Mechanic

Position Type: Direct Hire

Location: Columbus, OH

Pay: up to $34.25

Shifts:

· 2nd Shift 3:00pm – 11:30pm (Tuesday – Saturday)

· 3rd Shift 11:00pm – 7:30am (Sunday – Thursday)

Position Summary:

This full-time mechanic position is responsible for completing maintenance and repairs on all company-owned equipment, including tractors and trailers. No CDL is required.

Position Responsibilities:

· Conduct regular and preventative maintenance

· Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot, and diagnose equipment issues

· Perform minor and complex repairs on fleet equipment

Position Requirements:

· U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the U.S.

· Must be at least 21 years of age

· Proficient operating standard transmission vehicles

· Fleet diesel and gas experience or trade school training highly desirable

· Understanding of FMCSA requirements and ability to pass annual PM certification

· Ability to safely perform essential job functions without risk to self or others

· Must have a complete set of hand tools

· Advanced knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and diesel engine mechanisms

· In-depth knowledge of diesel engine components and operations

· Superior knowledge of maintenance tools and repair equipment

· Basic knowledge of computer systems and relevant electronics
