Position: SCCM Administrator

Location: San Diego, CA, 92127


Configure, maintain and deploy to enterprise desktop devices. Delivering high level best practice standard and custom configurations to Microsoft Windows desktops.

Apply specific required and requested settings using a variety of industry accepted tools.

The Desktop Configuration & Deployment engineer (Deployment) will be part of a deployment team supporting Windows 7 and Windows 10 desktops.

The deployment engineer will host configurations and deliver to desktops.

Deployments will consist of a diverse array of software’s to include Images, Patches, Applications and Packages.

The primary deployment vehicle will be Microsoft Software Center Configuration Manager 2012 (SCCM 2012).

Perform overall configuration of SCCM 2012.

Create the foundation and coordination of system naming conventions with folder structures and collection coordination.

Create the deployment foundation script for the packaging team.

Create make ready reports on system status to include daily readiness, system performance and deployment status.

Accept and validate software’s for deployment through pilot and test.

Deliver deployment status report links for each requested deployment.

Enter requests and maintain the Desktop Configuration and Deployment database with on demand client facing portal.


Strong communication skills and work well with others

Must be proficient with SCCM 2012.

Must have experience with SCCM 1602 & 1606 as they will be migrating to latest version in near future.

Must know PowerShell.

Knowledge of CScript, WScript, VBScript a plus.

Must know SCCM Administration, Primary Sites, Secondary Sites and Distribution Points.

Must know SCCM Desktop Client Health, Client Default Settings, Assets and Collections

Must know SCCM Applications, Packages and Updates

Must know SCCM Operating Systems, Drivers and Task Sequences

Must have deployed applications for Windows 7 OS platform with Windows 10 preferred.

Must have demonstrated ability to work on-site in a secure customer environment

Must have political awareness and sensitivity in customer situations.

Knowledge in Endpoint Protection

Knowledge of desktop deployments for Windows platforms MDOP & MDT

Knowledge of VMWare.

Be able to work independently and as a team member.

Be able to troubleshoot packaging problems.

Be able to meet deadlines and able to work after hours and some weekends.
