ABOUT BK CREDIT CONSULTANTS
BK Credit Consultants is a premier United States-based provider of financial advisory and banking services. We help individuals and businesses make smarter financial decisions — and we are building the data infrastructure and intelligence layer that will define the future of how we do it.
ABOUT THE ROLE
At BK Credit Consultants, data science is not a support function — it is a strategic weapon. Our Data Scientist will operate at the intersection of financial theory, machine learning, and measurable business impact — converting raw credit histories, transaction data, and behavioral signals into predictive intelligence that directly shapes how we serve clients and manage risk. We are looking for a rigorous thinker who is equally comfortable presenting a regression output to a machine learning peer and explaining its business implications to a C-suite executive. If you see financial data not just as numbers but as a language — we are speaking yours.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Design, build, and deploy machine learning models for credit risk scoring, client churn prediction, and financial product recommendation at production scale.
Conduct deep exploratory data analysis on structured and unstructured financial datasets to surface insights that drive firm strategy.
Develop and maintain robust, reproducible data pipelines for model training, validation, and production deployment.
Collaborate with credit analysts, compliance officers, and product leads to embed data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Produce executive-ready visualizations, dashboards, and reports that translate complex statistical findings into strategic clarity for leadership.
Monitor and retrain deployed models to ensure ongoing accuracy, fairness, and compliance with applicable regulatory standards.
Evaluate emerging artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques and advocate for their responsible adoption within a regulated financial environment.
Mentor junior analysts and champion a data-first culture across teams.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Two to six years of applied data science experience, with demonstrated impact in financial services, fintech, or banking strongly preferred.
Expert-level Python, including pandas, scikit-learn, XGBoost, and TensorFlow or PyTorch. Advanced SQL proficiency required.
Experience with cloud machine learning platforms such as AWS SageMaker, Google Vertex AI, or Azure Machine Learning.
Familiarity with FCRA, ECOA, and fair lending regulations as they relate to model fairness, bias testing, and explainability.
Ability to communicate statistical uncertainty and model limitations with candor and confidence to both technical and non-technical audiences.
A GitHub portfolio, Kaggle record, or publication history that demonstrates the quality of your analytical thinking.
