Travel Pay
Contractors are not entitled to pay while travelling.
Visa Requirements
Save for any visa application costs, the Contractor shall be responsible and liable for the visa stamping related costs, as required in order to deliver the Services. Such costs incurred by the Company shall be charged to the Contractor and deducted from the Fees as applicable.
Package
GardaWorld will provide the Independent Contractor with appropriate accommodation, insurance, flights and life support while on duty.
Food, Accommodation and General Expenses:
Company will provide the Contractor with food, drink, transportation and accommodation as necessary whilst the Contractor is engaged in a project.
If Company is unable to provide the Contractor with food, accommodation and transportation, except as set forth below for inbound and outbound travel to the project location, Company shall either provide a per diem at an agreed rate or reimburse to the Contractor for any travelling, hotel and other expenses reasonably incurred by him in the proper performance of his duties under this Agreement. In the case of the latter, the Contractor must provide Company with such vouchers and receipts or other evidence of actual payment of such expenses as Company may reasonably require. The Contractor shall seek the prior approval by Company for any individual expenses incurred under this Agreement.
Flight Package
GardaWorld will provide an economy class return ticket per rotation to the project location from a hub airport as close as reasonably practicable to the Contractor’s declared home address.
The Contractor will be asked to declare their preferences for a primary, secondary and tertiary hub airport from the GardaWorld hub list at the commencement of their engagement. Where possible and commercially acceptable, GardaWorld will look to book travel to and from one of the preferred hubs.
The Contractor will be responsible for any travel arrangements between the hub airport and their home address. The Company will pay for any transfers from the airport near the project location or such other intermediate landing location to the Consultant’s accommodations at the project.

Role Requirements
Qualifications and skills required;
Technical ability to fault find and repair comms issues on HF and VHF equipment.
English proficiency (written and oral): must be literate in English to the extent of reading and understanding printed regulations, detailed written orders, training instructions and materials. They must be capable of communicating and understanding oral English.
Radio operating and voice procedures and qualified to effectively operate all communications equipment used by the Contractor.
Conversant with Iridium, Thuraya and GPS systems.
Familiar with satellite vehicle tracking systems.
IT literate.
Certificate of clear criminal record.
Be physically able to perform all general duties, functions and activities.
Good level of physical fitness. Mandatory bi-annual fitness assessments to be completed at project location. Failure to achieve the required standards in the given timeframes will result in termination of contract.
Ability to operate well under pressure.
Arabic speaking is an advantage.
General professional experience required;
Total professional relevant experience as Junior Non Commissioned Officer or equivalent (command troop corporal, or signaler) for minimum of 5 years.
Specific professional experience required;
Experience as Watchkeeper for minimum of 3 years.
Services
Services provided by the Contractor shall be those typically expected for someone in the Position and include, but not be limited to the provision of security servies to ensure the safety and security of all client staff and other personnel who come under duty of care of EUAM, Baghdad. Services the Contractor can expect to carry out, would include:
Man the EUAM Operations Room on a daily basis as per Operational requirements.
Assist the Operations Manager when required in accordance with Operational requirements.
Coordinate/monitor all communications traffic for the mobile security teams when deployed on the ground.
Monitor Sicuro, Satellite Vehicle Tracking System whilst mobile security teams our deployed and operational.
Coordinate the deployment of Quick Reaction Force and others medical assets in response to an incident within Embassy compound or involving mobile protection teams in conjunction with operations manager/OSM
Logging and Upkeep of all statistical information required for client
Keep receipt of all movement requests from client
Undertaking any other direction or reasonable request given by appropriate GardaWorld Management team in accordance with GW Standard Operating Procedures and Guidelines.
