Mechanic/installer

Job Description

The Mechanic/Installer plays a crucial role in maintaining and installing industrial equipment, pallet racking, conveyors, loading dock, and safety equipment. Working primarily at customer premises, outdoor site locations, and indoor workshops, this position involves hands-on repair, preventive maintenance, and equipment erection. The role requires collaborating within a small team and includes occasional local and out-of-town travel. This position offers opportunities for advancement to a senior mechanic role.

Responsibilities

Repair and maintain industrial machinery and equipment

Use hand and power tools effectively for installation and maintenance tasks

Perform preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability

Assist in the erection and setup of pallet racking, conveyors, and loading dock equipment

Troubleshoot mechanical issues and resolve equipment malfunctions

Work on-site at customer locations and in workshop environments

Collaborate with a small team to complete projects efficiently

Travel locally and occasionally out of town as required

Preferred Qualifications

Entry-level experience in mechanical repair and installation

Knowledge of mechanical repair and equipment installation processes

Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and equipment issues

Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices

Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools

Strong problem-solving skills
