IQ Resource Group is currently hiring a Machine Operator/Machinist in Elk River, Minnesota!

Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 6:00am-4:30pm, and Friday, 6:00am-12:00pm (46 hours/week)

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour, depending on experience (may go higher for strong candidates)

Type: Temp-to-Hire

About the Role:

We're looking for someone who enjoys hands-on, precision work and wants to grow long-term in the machining field. This position will involve setting up, operating. Training is available for the right candidate who brings a solid foundation in CNC operation and quality inspection.

What You'll Be Doing:

Set up and operate gearing machines (hobbing and shaping).

Perform detailed quality checks using micrometers, calipers, height stands, vision systems, and shadow graphs.

Follow production specs, safety procedures, and quality standards.

Learn and assist with programming using Fanuc controls.

Maintain consistency, accuracy, and efficiency on all production runs.

What We're Looking For:

Experience operating CNC machines and performing quality inspections (required).

Familiarity with Fanuc controls is a plus.

Experience setting up and performing program edits on CNC turning or milling machines is ideal.

Gear machine experience (setup, operation, or programming) is a big plus but not required - training will be provided.

Someone dependable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn new skills in a long-term role.

This position is not physically demanding; most parts are small and manageable.
