Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and caring Full-Time Floater Teacher to join our Avondale location. This role provides coverage and support across all age groups, helping to ensure smooth transitions, classroom supervision, and consistent implementation of routines and curriculum. Its an ideal role for someone who enjoys variety and has a heart for teamwork and flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

Support classroom routines and activities using the Creative Curriculum

Supervise children during meals, rest, transitions, and outdoor play

Ensure classrooms meet DCY health, safety, and sanitation standards

Assist with diapering, toileting, handwashing, and maintaining clean environments

Set up materials and assist with classroom prep and organization

Communicate clearly with staff and maintain professionalism across classrooms

Float between classrooms based on ratios and scheduling needs

Follow all Water Lily Learning Center and DCY policies and expectations

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; ECE coursework, CDA, or degree preferred

Experience in a licensed child care or education setting preferred

CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to complete upon hire)

Ability to multitask and remain calm in dynamic settings

Must meet DCY licensing requirements, including background checks and clearances

Physical ability to support classroom duties, including lifting and floor-level interaction

Schedule and Compensation

Full-time, Monday through Friday

Morning or mid-day schedule options
