Role and Responsibilities: Full Time position supporting the TESS Task Order filling the Logistics Engineer position with some travel.
Duties include: system engineering, hardware engineering, test and evaluation (T&E), logistics, and configuration management.
The position is located onsite at NSWC PHD in Port Hueneme, CA.
Position Duties: * Either Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical degree and minimum of 4 years' experienceor no degree with a minimum of 10 years technical experience supporting Navy systems experience.
* Must demonstrate knowledge with Mechanical, Electrical and/or Computer Engineering and experience with technicalindustry and/or Navy weapons combat systems.
* Must be able to obtain knowledge and experience regarding the MK 34 and MK 48 Gun Weapon Systems (GWS's) throughOn the Job Training (OJT). * Must be capable of supporting hardware/software testing in labs and engaging in troubleshooting when required to bringequipment back to normal operating conditions.
* Must be able to initiate and develop ECPs in support of engineering deficiencies, design improvements, obsolescencemitigations, and sustainment and modernization.
* Must be able to develop tech docs and revisions to new and/or existing ICDs, technical manuals, PMS documents, ORDALTinstructions, engineering assessments, and evaluations as part of sustainment and modernization engineering efforts.
* Must support designated team leads to develop and manage project plans, schedules, objectives, timelines, budgets,financials, risks, allocations, progress reports, corrective actions, and deliverables.
* Must be capable of procedure development and validation in support of Program, Command, and Engineeringdocumentation development for GWS and/or NFCS.
* Must be able to support testing and validation of Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRCs), review of engineering andlogistics reports, and evaluation of combat systems testing.
* Must have strong knowledge of advanced features of MS Word & MS Office Products and strong technical writing skills.
* Must have a valid driver's license with own transportation and able to travel.
* Must be able to satisfactorily complete background check and get a government clearance.
* Must be able to follow company policies and procedures.
* Must be able to write, speak and understand English and able to write clear, detailed technical monthly reports.
Preferred Skills: * Navy A/C School * Knowledge and engagement in Agile ScrumMandatory Physical Requirements: * Must be capable of working aboard US Navy ships pier side and at-sea.
