Position: Associate – Debt Finance

Compensation Range: $225,000–$365,000+ (location and experience dependent)

Direct Counsel is seeking a Debt Finance Associate to join a top-tier, nationally recognized law firm’s highly regarded Debt Finance practice. The firm is hiring associates with 1–5 years of experience representing lenders, borrowers, and/or private equity sponsors in debt financing transactions. Ideal Background

Candidates should have experience in some or all of the following:

Secured lending transactions

Drafting and negotiating transaction documents, including issues lists

Managing or supporting closings

Article 9 of the UCC

Acquisition financing, including commitment papers

Debt securities offerings (e.g., high-yield or convertible notes)

General corporate law exposureQualifications

J.D. from a nationally recognized law school

Strong academic credentials

Training and experience from a large law firm environment

Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously

Excellent attention to detail and strong written communication skillsCompensation & Benefits

The expected compensation range is $225,000–$365,000, depending on location, experience, and skillset.
