Description
Fire proofers are responsible for installing fireproofing materials in new and existing piping and structures to the required specifications designated by the material manufacturer.
Job Description/Essential Functions
Assist in receiving and unloading trucks
Ability to read and understand spray charts and material thicknesses
Must be able to operate a Forklift, Boom lift, and scissor lift
Must be able to use a mechanical sprayer to apply SRFM and diagnose any small issues and break down and clean equipment daily
Track daily production rates.
Communicate with immediate supervisor on scheduling and material orders.
Communicate with the general contractors and other trades.
Follow directions with minimal supervision
Wear the proper safety equipment.
Available to work out of town
Work off scissor lifts, boom lifts, and scaffolding.
Physical demands of this position include lifting up to 70 pounds occasionally, 40-50 pounds frequently, and carrying the same along with constant sitting, grasping, and reaching, occasional climbing, and walking.

Must be able to operate routinely used tools and equipment
Must be able to work without close supervision once directed on task
Must obey and follow all safety rules on the job site and encourage others to do the same
Ability to read and write and interpret spray charts preferred
Must maintain a good relationship with co-works and works well with others to accomplish a task
Pre-Requisites
Must have at least 3-5 years of experience in fireproofing.
Must have own reliable transportation, be highly motivated
Must be able to pass a Hair Follicle
