The Pickerington Local School District (PLSD) is seeking interested applicants for a Custodian (2nd Shift; 2:00pm - 10:30pm) at Pickerington High School Central.

This is a 12 month position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicant must possess a high school diploma or a GED equivalent

Previous custodial work experience preferred

Ability to maintain care of buildings, grounds and equipment

Must have experience with operating heating and ventilating equipment

Ability to lift, push, pull or carry 80 pounds

Ability to perform manual labor for long periods of time

Knowledge and/or ability to learn technical building systems

Ability to communicate effectively, clearly and concisely both orally and in writing

Demonstrates aptitude for successful completion of tasks assigned

Ability to assist principal/supervisor in creating a safe, clean, positive and comfortable environment

Ability to follow directions and a strong desire to succeed

Must be friendly, dependable and exhibit a strong work ethic

Ability to work well with students, staff and parents of diverse populations
