Job Title: Production Supervisor Reports to: Operations Manager Job Summary: Supervisors oversee the FDA regulated manufacturing and packing process by leading teams and processes to ensure the production of quality products in an efficient and safe manner.
Essential Functions:Maintains a safe and clean work environment by ensuring Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are followed and maintained.
This is done by communicating to team members all required PPE, control points, equipment, resources, and maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.Achieves manufacturing results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising results related to assigned duties; training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.Collaborates with Sanitation Department to ensure execution of cleaning schedules are completed.Collaborates with Quality Department to ensure process and product meets FDA and internal quality standards.
Coordinates and conducts new hire orientation, ensuring day-one training and new hire paperwork is completed in compliance with internal and GMP standards.Facilitates employee training and completion of training records in alignment with Good Documentation Practices (GDP). Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning daily schedules, meeting production needs and established metrics, monitoring and revising production schedules due to demand and materials and continuously communicating with Operations leadership and Materials Department departmental needs and results.Presents suggestions to leadership groups in the form of improvements to systems, processes and procedures by investigating and analyzing operating practices, record keeping systems, forms of control, and staffing requirements.
Ensures equipment runs efficiently by troubleshooting issues and notifying engineering and maintenance.
Participates in interviews, internal investigations, incident and injury reporting and review, and corrective coaching conversations in collaboration with Human Resources and Operations Manager.
Assisting in other areas and performing other duties, as needed.

Experience leading a team regulated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is highly preferred.Must be experienced using Microsoft Office.
