Position: Senior Corrosion Engineer (Cathodic Protection)
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science or Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry.
• NACE CP Level III certification (preferred or equivalent recognized qualification).
Technical Expertise:
• In-depth knowledge of:
o Corrosion mechanisms
o Cathodic protection systems (design, construction, maintenance)
• Full understanding of international standards related to corrosion prevention and mitigation (e.g., NACE, ISO, API, etc.).
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, installation, and troubleshooting of:
o Impressed current and sacrificial anode systems
o Underground pipelines, storage tanks, and marine structures
• Prepare:
o Technical reports, design documentation, and maintenance strategies
o Budgets and project plans for submission to management
• Provide recommendations to enhance corrosion prevention and extend asset life.
• Manage and coordinate:
o Corrosion protection projects in the capacity of a Project Engineer
o Contractor activities and compliance during construction/installation phases
