- GCP (Google Cloud) SME
- Must understand security controls and the 5 pillars of cloud
- Automation mindset: uses HashiCorp - have 6 or 7, one being Terraform (most common and mandatory), Sentinel is a second but basic knowledge is ok
- Cost Optimization mindset: if they build a capacity, it's a real dollar (not like on-prem)
- Java or Golang developemnt: building in a public cloud is simple to click buttons, but the automation piece, needs to make sure they cover all the offerings
- Security: can keep security of the cloud in mind to protect the brand
Responsibilities:
5 + years of experience with Infrastructure automation tools (Terraform), with a focus on IaC and immutable infrastructure.
5 + years of experience with GCP cloud offerings
Develop an in-depth understanding of Google Cloud's GKE/Anthos product technology and underlying architectures by troubleshooting, reproducing, and determining the root cause for customer-reported issues, building tools, and faster diagnosis.
Software development experience in one of the OO programming language: Java, Go and or Python
Understanding of good cloud architecture to ensure high availability while ensuring the highest level of security and visibility.
Strong background of Container & Orchestration Technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift
Understanding of Traffic Flow Management, to include Service Mesh concepts, with experience in Istio preferred, as well as how GTM and LTMs manage traffic flows.
Experience with Logging and Monitoring tools such as Stackdriver, Prometheus, Splunk, ELK, Dynatrace, or AppDynamics.
