API Platform Engineer
Description:
ASSESSMENT REQUIRED
Handson platform engineer who can own gateway stability, unblock teams quickly, and safely operate Kong in production.
o Cloud Platform Expertise Strong handson experience with AWS and/or Azure, including compute, storage, networking, IAM, and serverless services
o Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Proficiency with CloudFormation and/or Terraform to provision, manage, and version cloud infrastructure programmatically
o Networking & Security Solid understanding of VPCs, subnets, load balancers, firewalls, DNS, and TLS/SSL, with an emphasis on secure, scalable architectures
o Containerization & Orchestration Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including deploying, scaling, and operating containerized workloads and managing container registries
o CI/CD & Automation Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, with a focus on automation, reliability, and safe deployments
o Monitoring & Observability Ability to implement and operate logging, metrics, and distributed tracing using tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry
o Scripting & Programming Working knowledge of Python, Bash, Go, or similar languages to support automation, tooling, and operational efficiency
