Shift:
1st: 5am-1pm M-F
2nd: 1pm-9pm M-F
Pay: $16.25/hour
As a Packer, you will be responsible for properly packaging finished materials per the customers specifications, the final check on quality, and supporting Machine Operators.
Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare cartons at correct size per ticket and label as needed.
Pack finished rolls in cartons on a pallet per ticket information. Inspects rolls while packing into cartons, report any off-quality concern to the operator or supervisor.
Document and track each carton and pallet per tracking system.
Must have basic mathematic understanding and can use a calculator.
Verify accurate count of finished rolls and cartons and record.
Gain an understanding of the Shrink Wrappers, how it functions, how to perform changeovers and adjust as needed.
Assist operator as needed.
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor / Management.
Required skills and abilities:
Basic math skills: Calculating production quantities and monitoring scrap rates
Attention to detail: Ensuring precise cuts and maintaining quality standards throughout the production run
Physical stamina: Ability to lift and handle materials, especially in high-volume production environments up to 30 lbs
Work environment:
Manufacturing facility with industrial machinery
Exposure to noise from the die cutting machine
Moving mechanical parts
May require working on different shifts depending on production needs with occasional weekend hours
PPE requirements:
Must wear safety glasses at all times when on production floor
Must wear steel toe shoes
