Sheeter Operator

Job Details

Wage: $24.75 an hour

Hours: 6am to 4:30pm Monday-Friday

Location: Neenah, WI

Position Overview:

Sets up and operates Sheeter machine equipped with rotary or reciprocating blades to cut rolls of material such as paper, and paperboard into sheets. This individual will also be trained to operate other equipment for times when Sheeting is not needed

Responsibilities:

Reads job orders to determine settings.

Installs rolls of paper on back stands.

Sets sheet length, counter, and tabber.

Makes adjustments as required.

Operate machine at or above target production rates.

Observes operation of machine to detect malfunctions such as jamming, wrinkling, or tearing of material.

Check setup for accuracy and make sure you are utilizing the correct paper. Also check and monitor sheet size and squareness and pull check sheet for alignment.

Take corrective action as needed to meet quality expectations. (holes, wrinkles, clean knife cut, and slitter cuts.)

Troubleshoot problems, check for worn or broken parts, and run machine at or above target rates when possible.

Cleans machine parts when needed.

Properly segregate waste to gain optimum value from our recycling vendors.vc

Must become knowledgeable about all grades of paper used.

Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and completely.

Enter and delete rolls from computer.

Oil and grease machine per lubrication schedule.

Must have strong tape measure skills, and be able to apply them.

Keep work area clean.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to regularly lift an/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
