Job Title:Administrative Assistant 2 Harding Hospital

Department:Brain and Spine Neurosciences Administration

Job Description

Works under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing, performing essential administrative functions for the service. Must be competent in interpersonal, technical, cognitive, and communication skills necessary to perform these functions. These functions include fiscal, human resource, and information management, inventory/stock control, documentation, timekeeping, assisting in charge entry system, and liaisons with other departments as well as performing general clerical tasks. Provides direction and support per the Director.

Minimum Education Required

High School diploma or GED. Certification or vocational training may be preferred.

1 year of relevant experience required. 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred.

Per Classified Civil Svc Specs or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Qualifications

Six months experience (600 hours training) using computers to generate a variety of materials ranging from basic to complex; 6 mos. experience (600 hrs course work) in office practices and procedures; 6 months experience (600 hours course work) in customer service. (Including license, if any.) Some positions require one year related medical secretarial experience or completion of an associates degree program with three courses in medical terminology plus 3 mos. experience (300 hours training) in use of word processing equipment, consistent with position description. Some positions require 6 mos. experience (600 hrs course work) in supervision consistent with position description.
