POSITION OVERVIEW
The primary role of this position is to assist the Memorial Tournament Digital Content Team with videography needs during advance week and tournament week of the Memorial Tournament presented by Workday, a signature event on the PGA TOUR.
GOALS
Gain understanding of the Memorial Tournament presented by Workday brand and the impact of video content, social media, marketing and community relations on a sports entity.
Foster skills in the planning and extemporaneous capture, editing and publication of video content that upholds the expectations of the Tournament brand, sponsors and public engagement.
Learn how to collaborate on a digital content team and work as a member of a collective effort; grow in a team-oriented, professional environment.
Build a network of associates by partnering with other Tournament staff and interns.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Maintain and uphold the Memorial Tournament presented by Workday brand
Assist the social media manager and digital content team with the creation of video content that will live on the Memorial Tournament presented by Workday social channels
Capture high-quality video footage at events including, but not limited to:
General Tournament week, on-site happenings
FORE! MILER
Benefit Concert
Family Night
Patron Appreciation Party
Volunteer Appreciation Party
Assist with editing video content for real-time and post-event use (social media, recap videos, highlights, etc.)
Contribute new and fresh ideas to the Tournament-week social media coverage plan, specifically video concepts and storytelling
Collaborate with other departments within the Tournament staff to ensure content is consistent and cohesive
Assist with basic photography as needed
Content organization, labeling and filing for post-tournament usage
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in videography and video editing required (sports experience preferred)
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Strong interview skills and confidence to interact with fans, players and volunteers
Confidence to pitch, create and follow through on new, out-of-the-box, trendy video ideas
In tune with current social media trends and video strategies, particularly in the sports content space
Strong attention to detail, effective follow-up and follow through required
Basic knowledge of golf is preferred, but not required
Experience and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite required (Premiere Pro required; After Effects a plus)
Highly motivated with a strong work ethic and initiative
Team oriented and able to work with all levels of the organization
Must be creative and a problem solver
