UI Developer

Want to build clean, intuitive user interfaces that directly support mission-critical space operations? NS2 Mission is looking for a UI Developer with strong Vue.js experience to craft modern, responsive applications that deliver both performance and exceptional user experience.

In this role, you'll support the EMMETT program, a next-generation Space Domain Awareness (SDA) Indications and Warning (I&W) system. The platform establishes and maintains a repository of resident space objects (RSOs), identifies objects of interest, and delivers critical data to ground operators.

You'll play a key role in developing user interfaces that make complex space and sensor data accessible and actionable, working alongside a team leveraging programmatic expertise, sensor modeling, and systems engineering to deliver a world-class SDA capability.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop dynamic, responsive user interfaces using Vue.js

Build reusable UI components and maintain consistency across applications

Translate wireframes, mockups, and design systems into high-quality code

Collaborate with UX/UI designers to refine user workflows and interactions

Integrate front-end components with RESTful APIs and backend services

Optimize UI performance and initial load times

Participate in code reviews and contribute to front-end/UI best practices

Troubleshoot and resolve UI/UX issues in production environments

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field

5+ years of experience in user interface development

Proficiency in Vue.js

Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS

Understanding of responsive design and UI/UX principles

Experience integrating with RESTful APIs

Experience with version control systems (Git)

Ability to work onsite in Chantilly, VA

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with modern build tools and deployment pipelines

Knowledge of UI testing frameworks

Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
