Job Description

As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining packaging equipment within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Your role is crucial in ensuring the safe operation of machinery, maintaining product quality, and achieving production goals while adhering to company safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

Operate and adjust packaging machines to meet production specifications.

Perform film changes and make necessary machine adjustments.

Load materials into auger and monitor machine performance during operation.

Conduct routine inspections, troubleshooting, and minor mechanical adjustments.

Ensure products meet quality, weight, and packaging standards.

Accurately complete production logs, quality checks, and downtime reports.

Follow all safety, food safety, and GMP requirements.

Communicate equipment or production issues to supervisors.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.Essential Skills

Experience in assembly and production.

Proficiency in machine operation and machine operating.

Familiarity with manufacturing processes and quality inspection.

Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues.

General labor skills, particularly in food manufacturing and packaging.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Previous experience operating a machine (not necessarily in the food industry).

Work Environment

Work during the 2nd Shift, from 2pm to 10:30pm, Monday through Friday. Operate in a food production facility producing various dry products, including spices and breading.

This is a Permanent position based out of Des Moines, IA.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35360.00 - $41600.00/yr.
