Litigation Attorney – Birmingham, MI

Direct Counsel is partnering with a nationally recognized AmLaw 200 law firm to identify an Attorney with 4-6 years of experience to join its Litigation Business Unit in Birmingham, MI. Candidates must hold an active Michigan Bar license.

Key Responsibilities:

Focus on national product liability defense matters across the United States.

Assist in trial preparation, including managing case files, supporting motion practice, and preparing for depositions.

Manage a significant portfolio of work in a high-volume litigation practice.

Work on-site at least 3 days per week and travel as needed (preferred).

Qualifications:

4–6 years of litigation experience.

Trial preparation experience, including file responsibility, motion practice (preferably including summary judgment and expert challenges), and deposition experience.

Strong research, writing, and negotiation skills.

Detail-oriented and highly organized.

Solid leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Products liability and personal injury experience preferred but not required.

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary range: $165,000 – $175,000 annually (DOE).

Eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
