We are currently seeking a dependable and safety-focused Loader Operator to join our operations in Madison, WI. This role involves operating a Loader to load, unload, and sort scrap materials.Key Responsibilities

Operate heavy equipment to load and unload trucks, semi-trailers, and rail cars.

Sort and relocate scrap materials within the yard.

Inspect inbound and outbound loads for safety and compliance.

Perform routine maintenance such as greasing and oil changes.

Assist with minor crane maintenance and general labor tasks.

Wear required PPE and follow all safety protocols.

Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.

Prior experience operating heavy machinery or driving a semi-tractor/trailer is a plus — training will be provided.

Basic machine maintenance knowledge is a bonus.

Ability to lift 30–50 lbs independently and 100+ lbs with assistance.Why Join Alter?
