About the role

Pump Services Senior Technician is responsible for assembling complex components and systems according to technical specifications. This role ensures product quality, supports process improvements, and may mentor junior technicians.

Main tasks and responsibilities

1. Performing the dismantling, inspection, repair, and assembly on all types of pump equipment, primarily centrifugal pumps.

2. Complete overhauls of pump equipment, including bearing replacements, mechanical seal replacements, rotor replacements.

3. Pump rotor assembly, inspection, and dynamic balancing.

4. Following work-packs, Standard Operating Procedures, Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and quality plan.

5. Filling inspection sheets, assessing equipment condition, identifying requirements for repairs and / or replacement of components.

6. Safe use of hand tools, power tools, hydraulic / pneumatic tools, and hot work activities.

7. Accurate use of conventional inspection tools and instruments.

8. Safe use of overhead crane and lifting activities.

9. Maintaining tools and equipment in safe and serviceable condition.

10. Maintaining high standard of housekeeping and safety consciousness.

11. Accurately capturing activities in worklogs and timesheets.

12. Attending safety, quality, and technical training as organized by the company.

Qualifications/Experience and Knowledge Required

· Technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

· Experience in pump equipment repairs.

· Knowledge of repairs workshop processes and procedures.

· Understanding of acceptable repair methods.

· Demonstration of safe working practices and good HSE awareness.
