International Services for Students provides holistic programs and services to support the international, newcomer and refugee student experience at SFU and manages the University's Study Abroad Programs (formal exchange, study abroad, faculty-led field schools) with over 130 partners around the globe to facilitate transformative international and intercultural learning opportunities for SFU students.
About the Role
Performs diverse support services for International Services for Students (ISS) programs including support for field schools, academic exchanges, and faculty and staff mobility projects and implements a range of services for SFU’s international community. Provides support to the supervisor in scheduling, organizing travel and meetings, and the preparation of documents and proposals.

Qualifications
High School graduation and one-year post-secondary education with training in word processing, database, spreadsheet, desktop publishing applications and office procedures.
3 years of related experience. An equivalent combination of formal education, certificate/program of study ad experience is acceptable.
Good knowledge of university policies and procedures.
Excellent communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) and customer service skills.
Excellent analytical reasoning, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Excellent intercultural communications skills.
Ability to use standard office applications, and enterprise level information systems (e.g., SIMS PeopleSoft, Horizons by Symplicity, or equivalent) at an intermediate level.
