2nd Shift Material Handler/Process Technician - Injection Mold (Plastics)

(M-F with OT as needed)

Reports to:

Plant Manager / Shift Supervisor

Job purpose:

The purpose of the 1st Shift Material Handler/Process Technician - Injection Mold (Plastics) is to help the Production Manager and each Shift Supervisor in the day to day operations to include mold changes and the processing of each job. Also responsible to be a back up for both the Material Handler and Shift Supervisor.

Duties and responsibilities:

Cross trained Material Handler position

Cross trained Shift Supervisor position

Tasks specific to the process technician's primary responsibilities...

Complete mold changes as directed.

Complete injection mold preventative maintenance as directed.

Review each process at the press for optimization and associated documentation of actual process data.

Press alarm answering and rectification of alarms as required.

Maintain a working knowledge of all injection molding machines and related auxiliary equipment operation.

Troubleshoot molding defect causes and remedy any issue using a systematic approach to process changes.

Maintain clean, organized and safe work areas

Qualifications

High School graduate or GED Recipient

Excellent attendance

Positive Attitude

Prior experience as an injection molding process technician

Excellent communication skills

Excellent organizational skills

Basic mathematics skills

Safe working practices

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Experience: Manufacturing: 2-3 years (Required)

Work Location: In person
