Controller

We are seeking a Controller to oversee the day-to-day accounting operations for a growing construction company.

This role will manage financial reporting, job cost accounting, and the monthly close process while ensuring accurate tracking of project performance.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and hands-on experience in construction accounting, including job costing, WIP reporting, and draw schedules.

Key Responsibilities:Oversee all accounting operations including month-end close, general ledger, and financial reporting Manage job cost accounting and ensure accurate tracking of project costs, margins, and profitability Prepare and review WIP schedules, project financial reports, and cost-to-complete analysis Oversee construction draws, billing processes, and contract documentation Ensure accurate revenue recognition and compliance with GAAP Maintain internal controls and support audit and tax processes Partner with project managers and operations teams to support budgeting and forecasting Qualifications:8+ years of accounting experience with significant construction industry experience CPA preferred (not required) Strong knowledge of job costing, WIP reporting, and project-based accounting Prior experience managing or leading an accounting team
