Job Title: Picking Manager

Green Garden Products, a subsidiary of Central Garden & Pet, the number one supplier of top-quality flower seeds and non-GMO vegetable seeds for the gardening industry, is now seeking a Picking Manager for the Lockbourne, OH facility. This is an exempt, full-time position. The Picking Manager is responsible for overseeing all order-picking operations within the warehouse to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and on-time Shipments. This role manages picking staff, optimizes workflows, and ensures compliance with safety and quality standards. Position is on first shift but will require moving to 2 nd Shift During Peak season.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and supervise daily picking operations

Assign tasks and schedules to picking staff

Ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment

Monitor productivity and implement process improvements

Train, coach, and evaluate picking team members

Maintain inventory accuracy and coordinate with inventory control

Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company policies

Resolve picking errors, shortages, and workflow issues

Collaborate with warehouse, packing, and shipping teams

Prepare reports on performance, errors, and efficiency Requirements & Qualifications

Proven experience in warehouse or distribution operations

Previous supervisory or management experience preferred

Strong leadership and communication skills

Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS)

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Forklift experience and training required

Work in other areas as needed. Education & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required

2-5 years of relevant warehouse experience Key Skills

Prolonged periods of standing and walking.

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
