Senior Accountant

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to support financial operations within a fast-paced retail environment. This role will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards while partnering cross-functionally to drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements

Support month-end and year-end close processes

Analyze financial data and variances to support business decision-making

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting

Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls

Support internal and external audits

Improve accounting processes and procedures for efficiency and accuracy

Collaborate with operations, merchandising, and finance teams on financial matters

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred)

3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within retail, consumer goods, or multi-location environments

Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting

Proficiency with accounting systems and Excel

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Strong communication and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Skills

Experience with inventory accounting and cost of goods sold

Exposure to POS systems and multi-entity environments

CPA or CPA-track a plus
