The Electrical Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in keeping production equipment and facility systems operating safely and efficiently. This position focuses on installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems while supporting uptime, safety, and continuous improvement. Work Hours (Shift)
Rotating Shifts, 1st shift hours (6am – 6pm)
Pay (Hourly or Annual Salary)
Starting at $29/hr. and up based on experience
Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to support accurate electrical installation and troubleshooting.
Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, control systems, and lighting in accordance with safety and company standards.
Inspect and test electrical components such as transformers, circuit breakers, and control panels using appropriate testing equipment.
Diagnose electrical issues and perform repairs or equipment rebuilds with minimal supervision.
Ensure all electrical work complies with local, state, and federal regulations.
Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a safe, organized work environment.
Skills and Abilities
Strong working knowledge of industrial electrical systems and components.
Ability to read and understand blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
Skilled in using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with maintenance and production teams.
Clear communication skills and a safety-first mindset.
Education and/or Experience
Two-year degree in Electronics or a related field required.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in the electrical/electronics field (or 4 years in a closely related field).
Journeyman Electrician license required.
Proven experience troubleshooting, repairing, and rebuilding electrical equipment.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work on equipment for extended periods.
Ability to lift and maneuver tools, components, and equipment as needed.
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
