Job Title- IAM Security Engineer – Identity Governance & Administration (IGA Certifications)

Location- Indianapolis, IN (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

Duration- 3 Months Contract-to-Hire

Work Hours- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Overview and Description

We are seeking a Senior IAM Security Engineer – IGA Certifications to lead and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of identity and access certifications across enterprise Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) platforms, primarily SailPoint and Saviynt.

This is a hands-on role responsible for designing, configuring, executing, monitoring, and closing certification campaigns, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, audit standards, and least privilege principles.

The role also includes managing certification data extracts, ensuring data integrity for certification processes, and supporting IAM provisioning operations such as Joiner, Mover, and Leaver (JML) workflows when required. The ideal candidate will have strong audit awareness, technical expertise, and the ability to drive process improvements and operational efficiency within IAM governance.

Roles and Responsibilities

IGA Certification Lifecycle Management

• Own and execute the full lifecycle of access certifications including design, configuration, launch, monitoring, escalation, closure, and reporting

• Configure certifications in SailPoint and Saviynt such as:

o Manager certifications

o Entitlement-level certifications

o Privileged access certifications

o Application/non-human identity certifications

o Event-based certifications (job changes, terminations, risk events)

• Define certification scope, reviewers, schedules, escalation rules, and completion criteria

• Monitor certification campaigns daily and manage escalations to ensure timely completion

Certification Data & Extract Management

• Manage and validate data extracts used for certification campaigns

• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and reconciliation of certification data

• Collaborate with application owners and IAM teams to source and validate data

• Identify and resolve data discrepancies impacting certification outcomes

Post-Certification Remediation

• Validate certification decisions and initiate remediation actions

• Track and ensure completion of access revocations and remediation activities

• Partner with IAM provisioning and application teams for execution

• Ensure certifications are closed with complete audit-ready documentation

Audit & Compliance Support

• Identify audit risks, control gaps, and process inefficiencies

• Support internal and external audits related to identity governance

• Provide clear documentation and reporting for audit and compliance requirements

• Recommend and implement improvements to strengthen control effectiveness

Process Improvement & Optimization

• Analyze certification metrics such as completion rates and remediation timelines

• Drive automation, standardization, and efficiency improvements

• Enhance data quality and governance maturity within IGA processes

IAM Operations Support

• Support Joiner, Mover, and Leaver (JML) provisioning activities

• Perform manual provisioning and deprovisioning tasks

• Process revocation and exception tickets

• Ensure adherence to IAM policies, SLAs, and least privilege principles

Collaboration & Leadership

• Act as a senior IAM resource and provide guidance to team members

• Collaborate with security, risk, audit, application, and IT operations teams

• Communicate certification status, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders

Required Qualifications and Certification

• Bachelor’s degree in information security, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)

• Strong hands-on experience with IGA tools, specifically SailPoint and/or Saviynt

• Proven experience managing end-to-end access certification lifecycle

• Strong understanding of:

o Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts

o Least privilege principles

o Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)

o Non-human identity management

o Joiner/Mover/Leaver (JML) processes

• Experience supporting audits and compliance initiatives (e.g., SOX, SOC, NIST frameworks)

• Strong analytical, documentation, and Excel skills

• Solid project coordination and stakeholder management abilities
