Description:

The position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Step Down care.

The unit handles complex patient cases, including those requiring advanced cardiovascular care.

Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a similar role.

Experience with the Epic charting system is necessary.

The nurse will work with a patient ratio of 1:3.

Diverse patient diagnoses include heart failure, stroke, and sepsis.

The nursing team collaborates with various interdisciplinary support services.

Special procedures include emergent cardioversion and central line placement.

Staffing and scheduling are organized in block shifts.

Potential weekend shifts may be required as part of the commitment.

Candidates must also be prepared for possible floating to other units.

The nurse will be responsible for managing specialized equipment such as BIPAP and CPAP.
