DISHWASHERS FOR BANQUETS

This position is "On-Call"

SUMMARY

Maintains kitchen work areas and restaurant equipment and utensils in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Scrapes food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on a conveyor to the dishwashing machine.

Holds inverted glasses over revolving brushes to clean inside surfaces.

Washes pots, pans, and trays.

Sweeps and mops kitchen floors.

Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers.

Transfers supplies and equipment between the Kitchen and storage areas.

Ensures dish machine, sink, table, and drain board are clean and free of food.

Remove and clean dish machine strainers.

Clear and clean the top of the dishwasher.

Empty and clean all coffee and tea urns, including spouts.

Store washing racks neatly.

Check detergent and sanitizer buckets; refill if needed.

Check all Banquet rooms at the end of the event to make sure all pans and utensils have been cleaned.

Check with the head dishwasher before leaving the facility.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be available to work nights and/or weekends (no exceptions)

Must pass a criminal background check (no felony convictions)

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
