SQL Developer

This is a contract position.

It is a hybrid role, with 3 days in Vienna, VA office.

In this role, you will:

Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects within SQL Server environments

Utilize advanced SQL techniques including joins, subqueries, Common Table Expressions (CTEs), and window functions to support data analysis and application functionality

Implement indexing strategies and performance tuning to ensure high-performing and scalable database solutions

Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into technical specifications

Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical audiences, ensuring clarity and alignment across teams

Support and enhance procure-to-pay (P2P) systems, including data integration, reporting, and process optimization

The skills we are looking for in this role include:

Strong SQL skills - very comfortable with joins, subqueries, CTEs, window functions and indexing. Preference given to those with SQL Server background.

Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements and vice versa.

Experience communicating technical terms to non-technical audiences.

Knowledge and experience with procure-to-pay systems and processes.

Coding (Python/R/JavaScript etc) experience is a plus.

Power BI and/or dashboard development experience
