Appraiser Trainee wanted to grow with Clearmark Valuation, a Dublin, Ohio based AMC. Looking for motivated individuals who want to start their career in Valuation. Must have high school diploma. We will assist you in obtaining your Appraiser Trainee designation (if you do not already have it) and propel you along the tract for State Licensure while you work and learn in the industry. Those pursuing a business-related degree preferred we will accommodate your class schedule.
Key Responsibilities of an Appraiser Trainee:
Managing loan ordering system: Receiving appraisal requests from lenders, assigning appraisers.
Data Entry: Collecting relevant property details and assisting credentialed appraisers with report writing.
Property Inspections: Accompanying supervisors to sites to photograph interiors/exteriors, measure properties, and note conditions.
Data Collection & Analysis: Researching tax records, MLS listings, and public records to find comparable sales (comps).
Report Writing: Drafting appraisal reports, including description of improvements and market analysis, using appraisal software.
Drafting Sketches: Creating floor plans and site sketches of property improvements.
Regulatory Compliance: Learning and applying the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP).
Training and Requirements:
Supervision: Trainees must work under a certified supervisory appraiser who reviews and signs off on all work.
Education: Trainees must complete qualifying education (e.g., Basic Appraisal Principles, Procedures, and USPAP courses).
Career Path: This is an entry-level position designed to gain the necessary hours to become a Licensed or Certified Residential/Commercial Appraiser.
